Biography
Daniel Maistre joined Delaware Orthopaedic Specialists as a Physician Assistant in September 2017. He grew up in the Wilmington/Newark area, where he attended Salesianum High School. Daniel graduated from West Virginia University in 2010 with a BS in Exercise Physiology. He then graduated Magna Cum Laude with over a 3.8 GPA from University of the Sciences in Philadelphia in 2017 with a Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. While at University of the Sciences, he was nominated by faculty to Pi Alpha national Honor Society in recognition of his academic excellence and leadership.
At Delaware Orthopaedic Specialists, Daniel works primarily with Dr. Douglas Palma, specializing in sports medicine, knee, shoulder, trauma, and fracture care. Daniel’s choice of specialization is fueled by a lifelong passion in fitness and athletics including football, volleyball, and running. Daniel is a board certified Physician Assistant and is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, The Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants, and the Delaware Academy of Physician Assistants.
Outside of the workplace, Daniel likes spending time with his family and friends. He enjoys exercising and playing sports. He is known to be an avid “gamer” and has competed professionally in the past. He lives in the Wilmington area with his wife Thina, their children Elise & Benjamin, and their golden doodle Phoenix.
